As one of the founding directors of Abroadco, Sharon helped establish Abroadco’s philosophy of advancing the goals of the international education community which works toward making study abroad a critical component of US university curriculum. “Through both our programs and our participation in the international education field, we stress the importance of enabling students to interact at a global level. “

Sharon studied abroad in Paris, France, at The American University of Paris (AUP) in 1991. Her studies helped lay the foundation for Abroadco’s academic programs at AUP today. She also studied at the Université de Bourgogne in Dijon, France in 1994-1995. Sharon studied in the US at both Mundelein College and DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois.

Sharon returned from her studies at Université de Bourgogne with a desire to make her experience possible for other students. In 1996, she co-founded CEA, a study abroad provider in Tempe, Arizona. She played an instrumental role in CEA’s growth and development before creating Abroadco in 2004.

Sharon is a charter member of the Carefree/Cave Creek Rotary Club and served as Club President for the 2005-2006 year. She is also a Rotary Foundation Bequest Society Member and a New Century Circle Diamond Anniversary Diplomat of NAFSA. Sharon has been a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, since 1996.
