Abroadco has a two-fold mission that includes being “an active advocate for study abroad in its many forms.” Abroadco supports the international education field as a member of both NAFSA: Association of International Educators and the Forum on Education Abroad. Our staff adheres to the NAFSA Code of Ethics, NAFSA’s Statement of Professional Competencies for International Educators and Principles for Study Abroad. In addition, Abroadco is in the process of codifying the Forum’s Standards of Good Practice into Abroadco systems. Abroadco plans to participate in the voluntary certification process for the Forum’s Standards when they are finalized. By adhering to the principles and standards set out by NAFSA and Forum on Education Abroad, Abroadco can successfully carry out the second part of its mission to provide affordable, high quality study abroad programs.
