Abroadco’s mission is to encourage diversity in study abroad by providing affordable, high quality programs that promote international understanding and awareness. To ensure that we accomplish our mission we believe that providing an exceptional experience, both with our U.S. office staff and while abroad, is key.

• Individual Advising
  We believe that each student deserves individualized attention to their concerns and needs. We spend time with each student, on the phone and through email, providing information, advice, and support throughout the entire process.
• Scholarships
  Students are encouraged to apply for Abroadco scholarships to help defray the cost of studying abroad. Awards typically range from $300-600, depending on the length of the program.
• Pre-departure Preparation
  Preparing students to study abroad is essential. Not only do we provide students with an extensive City Handbook that provides all the essential information they will need, we have developed special handbooks on cultural adjustment, health and safety, and even packing! Along with all the print material that the students receive, we follow up to make sure all their questions are answered.
• Facilitating Transfer of Credit and Financial Aid
  We work with students and their campus administrators on your campus to provide you with course descriptions and accreditation information to facilitate credit transfer. We also work with financial aid offices to ensure that any eligible financial aid the student qualifies for will be transferable.
• Academic Study Options
  Students have a wide range of course options available as they explore their study abroad opportunities with Abroadco. Although the hallmark of our programs has been foreign language study, options are available to take coursework in English in many of our program locations.
• Housing and Meal Options
  Depending on the location, students have several housing choices, including residence halls, homestays, and apartments. All of our housing options are geared to student having the most interaction possible with locals. Housing options and choices will also determine the meal options. Some housing provides meals, while apartment living does not.
• International Mobile Phone
  All Abroadco students receive on loan an international mobile phone with free incoming calls. Students purchase units for outgoing calls. With the mobile phone, students and their families don’t have to worry about how to contact each other.
• Travel Backpack and Guidebook
  All Abroadco students receive a free Abroadco travel backpack and a Let’s Go Guide for their program country.
• Medical Insurance
  To ensure that all students have adequate medical insurance while abroad, we require that students purchase the Abroadco medical insurance plan. It’s an inexpensive way to insure that you have sufficient coverage, along with the added benefit of emergency evacuation.
• Experienced Onsite Staff
  All of our onsite staff have years of experience working with North American students studying abroad and are either host nationals or expatriates who have lived in the country for many years. The onsite staff works with students to orient them to their new home, guides them on excursions and is there for any problem or concern they have during your time abroad.
• Airport Reception
  Because arriving in a foreign airport after a long flight can be overwhelming, Abroadco provides airport reception and transfer to student housing at the beginning of the program.
• Onsite Orientation
  All Abroadco programs include a comprehensive orientation in the host city that covers all aspects of the program, including academics, housing, a walking tour of the host city, health and safety issues, along with other pertinent information.
• Immersion Activities
  Getting involved in the city culture is an important part of studying Abroad. Abroadco facilitates this by providing students with many opportunities to acquaint themselves with the people and culture of their host city.
• Excursions
  All Abroadco programs include excursions that will provide students with an opportunity to explore more of their host country as well as provide them cultural and historical insights.
• Transcript at Completion of Program
  Following the successful completion of the academic program, students will receive a transcript from the institution they attended. Transcripts generally are available between six to ten weeks following the completion of the program.
