Prospective Students - Financial Aid

Federal regulations mandate that you can use federal financial aid to pay for an Abroadco program when it is approved for credit by your home institution. The aid can also be used toward all reasonable expenses, such as airfare, living expenses, and health insurance.

Because Abroadco is not a university and does not grant degrees, we are not able to process federal financial aid ourselves. Most Abroadco students continue to be enrolled at their home college or university while participating in an Abroadco program. Each college and university has its own policy governing the use of financial aid and study abroad. To find out the policies of your school, contact your study abroad and financial aid offices.

When your university approves our program, it will sign a Consortium Agreement with us. We will submit this agreement to your university once you are enrolled in our program. We will also send your financial aid office a budget for your study abroad program, which will give you a better idea of your costs.

Your study abroad office and financial aid office should be helpful. We will work closely with them to make this as easy as possible and make your dream a reality. Call our office with any questions 1-800-595-1973. We are here to help!
