Full Description

Through theatre, fiction, poetry and film, this course will provide an insight into these two major twentieth century issues as French writers experienced them. The two world wars, and French ventures in the far east and North Africa provide a backdrop for works by the Surrealist poets, Vercors, Camus, Duras, Giraudoux, Resnais, Kassovitz and Jeunet.
