Study Abroad in Cannes, France - About the CollegeFounded in 1931, the College is one of the most reputable private institutions of higher education in France. The College offers diplomas issued by the Ministry of National Education, Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie, and certificates in elementary and advanced language qualifications, including the Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française and Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française (DELF/DALF diplomas). It is the only institution in France that is established on a campus entirely devoted to teaching French as a foreign language. It is situated right on the seaboard of Cannes, with a public beach right in front of the door. The city center is a short 15 minute walk away. The minimum age for students at the College is 16, and most students are between 20-23 years of age, and are university students. Class sizes range from 6-14 students, and there are 17 different language levels available. During the summer, up to 260 students enroll at the college, while there averages 130 students during the academic year. All teachers are native French teachers and hold university diplomas in teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE). The academic calendar features a one-week vacation after the March session. Abroadco encourages students to take advantage of this period for independent travel. Students may leave their luggage in their room for free while traveling, or may opt to stay on campus during this time at a rate of 14€/night without meals.* The campus's extensive facilities include the following:
