Note: The texts are specifically written for the students and roles are assigned based on the importance of the role and the level of the students. Detailed ProgramPhase OneStudents review the text, vocabulary is explained, and roles are assigned. During the first rehearsals, students will practice on stage with the texts in their hands. Each scene will be practiced individually (one scene per class period). Students will learn where to be while on stage while working with the texts. The instructor will correct flagrant accent mistakes, and work with all students on articulation. There will also be an introduction to rhythm. ![]() Rehearsals and the final performance take place in the College's theater. Phase TwoThe work will become more and more autonomous, and students will practice without holding their texts. Each scene will continue to be practiced individually. Decorations, accessories, costumes, and music will be progressively introduced. The instructor will continue to work with students on their accent, as well as phrase fluidity (i.e. liaison, intonation). The definitive rhythm of the scene will be put in place. Phase ThreeThe final phase will involve general rehearsals, and the putting in place of all props, lighting and musical effects. Students will practice scenes "end to end" with transitions between them. The instructor will work on the general "style" of the performance and may schedule additional rehearsals for scenes that are not performing as well. The class ends with the public performance Original Language DescriptionOBJECTIFSCe séminaire a deux buts principaux:
