French Language Courses
All students enroll in both a phonetics course and a French language course. Classes meet for 4 weeks at a time, giving students the opportunity to advance to higher levels throughout the session. The language course meet 15 hours/week for a total of 60 contact hours/month. Students complete 240 contact hours over a semester session, or 180 contact hours over a quarter session. In the US semester system, this generally transfers to 12 credits for semester students, 9 credits for quarter students, or 4 credits for one-month students. Both courses are taught exclusively in French.
Electives
Electives meet 3.5 hours/week, 3 months/semester, for a total of 42 contact hours each. Semester and quarter students may take up to 2 electives. Each elective generally transfers to 3 credits in the US semester system.
