General Information
About Florence: In the heart of Tuscany, Florence is 80 kilometers inland from the Mediterranean sea. Situated on the banks of the Arno River, and surrounded by hills of rolling Italian countryside, Florence basks in its warm, sunny Mediterranean climate. Best known for its historical and cultural riches, Florence is a world cultural center and was home to the Renaissance, boasting a legendary cuisine, fine wines, and beautiful scenery with spectacular palaces, villas, and castles. Here you will share footprints with Cicero, Dante, Petrarch, Galileo, Fermi, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael.
About the Santa Reparata: The Santa Reparata is a private art school located in a historic 19th century building whose garden was once a part of the first art academy in Italy founded by Lorenzo de Medici, and whose students included the young Michelangelo. Santa Reparata provides accredited academic-year and semester programs, short workshops, and summer classes of the highest caliber.
