Summary

Through observational drawing, using black and white media, students learn the skills needed to realistically render 3-dimensional objects on a 2-dimensional surface. Renaissance systems of perspective and chiaroscuro drawing are explored along with the formal aspects of drawing such as line, tone, shape, rhythm, composition, space and proportion. Class meets 2 times per week, 3 hours per class.
