Nikki brings a unique perspective to her role as the Abroadco onsite director in Florence. As an undergraduate at the University of Delaware, Nikki studied abroad at Santa Reparata International School of Art, one of our study options for students. Upon graduation, Nikki moved to Florence and completed an M.A. in Italian at Middlebury College/University of Florence. She now calls Florence her home.

Nikki wants the Abroadco students to experience the real Florence: "I would like for my students to see the side of the city and the Italian culture that is realistic, outside of the tourist realm. I want for them to go home having made friendships with people not only from their study abroad program, but also with Italians. It is just as important that the students have fun making dinner together with myself and my husband in our kitchen as it is to see the museums and galleries that are famous throughout the world. Watching a local soccer game, swimming in the nearby natural hot spring baths, and eating at the best local restaurants that are not in the center of the city are the most memorable experiences that the students will remember."
