The Spanish Language and Culture with English Eelctives (LCE) track is geared toward students who want to improve their Spanish language skilsl while studying Spanish culture with electives taught in English. Students will be placed in the Beginner or Intermediate level. After the placement exam, students enroll in 4-5 classes. All students enroll in both the Speaking and Writing Skills and Notions of Spanish Grammar courses. Students also enroll in 2-3 additional elective courses of their choosing. In addition to the courses taught in English, students at the Intermediate level can take electives taught in Spanish as well. Students may choose to begin their semester with a 4-week intensive language course. This course meets 4 hours/day, 5 days/week, totaling 80 hours. This generally transfers to 5 credits in the US semester system. Students with little or no Spanish are strongly encouraged to select the "Early Start" program taht includes this option.
