Summary

OBJECTIVES
To give journalism and audiovisual communications students an up-to-date, complete picture of the main audiovisual media: radio and television. Strengths and weaknesses of the media’s approach to information. Student will be familiarized with the work of journalists and producers in both media.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Television. Standard structure of a television station. Basic vocabulary of Spanish stations. Structure of news services. Differences between news and other programs. Live news. Daily news, special programs and coverage of important events. Radio. The role of journalists and producers in news radio. Reporting on the radio. Radio documentaries. Live news. Organization of radio programs and location of news programs. Radio specialized in news.

METHODOLOGY
Lectures; support of teaching equipment.

EVALUATION
Exam.
