To learn and understand what enzymes are, the different types of enzymes, the catalytic mechanisms involved in the transformation of substrates into products, enzyme regulation and its applications to biotechnology. COURSE DESCRIPTION It is important to understand the biological enzyme macromolecules because they are involved in all the biochemical transformations that occur in the cell.
