To learn and understand what enzymes are, the different types of enzymes, the catalytic mechanisms involved in the transformation of substrates into products, enzyme regulation and its applications to biotechnology.
It is important to understand the biological enzyme macromolecules because they are involved in all the biochemical transformations that occur in the cell.
The course includes lectures; students will be encouraged to participate actively.
There will be a final exam that will test the student’s practical and theoretical knowledge. The questions will include practical problems where reasoning is needed.
