OBJECTIVES

 

That the student acquires the ability to raise and reason and adequate use of his / her microbiology and biotechnology knowledge in the solution of environmental problems.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Knowledge of the general fundamentals of the use of microorganisms in environmental processes.

To be explained by the professor.

METHODOLOGY

Lectures supported by slides. Visits to industries where some of the biotechnology processes reviewed in class will be seen. Magisterial classes by relevant researchers in microbe biotechnology applied to environmental problems.

EVALUATION

A mandatory final exam will represent 80% of the final grade. Group assignments and midterms will represent the remaining 20%.
