OBJECTIVES

 

For students to learn the basis and basic tools that have allowed the development of biotechnology as it is today, and the current applications of biotechnology in the industrial sector, with a special emphasis on healthcare, the agro-alimentary field and the environment.

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION

 

The basic knowledge generated in the laboratory in different models are turned into solutions for industry and public health, benefiting society. To reach these solutions from basic investigation, multidisciplinary participation by various sectors of the bio-sanitary sciences is vital.

Theory classes using computer resources. Experts in a number of areas will give lectures.

EVALUATION

A final written exam will account for 60% of the final grade. The students will be evaluated continuously through class participation and group exercises (40% of the final grade).
