For students to be able to understand and use mathematical tools to comprehend processes and data, both theoretical and experimental, their interpretation, and eventually to analyze and design processes or procedures.
Study and analysis of problems that allow for a better understanding of mathematical principles and methods. Up to date bibliography adapted to the students’ level.
To be determined.
A general outline of the subject matter is developed, providing adequate reading to explore the subject matter in depth. The course proposes the adequate form of handling the analysis of mathematical processes, starting with the first principles.
Ongoing assessment. The student will be evaluated periodically. These grades will account for 50% of the final grade. A final semester exam will represent the remaining 50% of the final grade.
