Full Description

OBJECTIVES

To understand ethical terminology and its meaning. To critically analyze the various theories on morality that have emerged over time, determine the general principles of moral conduct, and analyze and critically appraise human actions.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

After establishing the reasonable legitimacy of ethics, students will study the structure of human action from three different perspectives: metaphysical, psychological and ethical. After exploring the crucial relationship between free will and moral value, students will consider the different schools of ethical thought that have addressed the issue of moral value, in order to find the best way to enable us to apply moral value in the analysis and consideration of human actions.
