OBJECTIVES To learn about and investigate the use of new technologies (Internet, SMS, MMS and PDF etc.) as communicative products. COURSE DESCRIPTION The course is split into two parts: the first part is theoretical in which students will analyze the latest trends and new technologies which are influencing the world of communication. In particular they will focus on the internet (blogs, email), mobile telephones (SMS, MMS) and data transmission files such as PDF and JDF, etc. The second part is practical, which will take place in the computer laboratory, in which students will practice creating and managing PDF and JDF documents (Adobe Acrobat Professional) and will create blog pages on the internet. METHODOLOGY Theoretical classes in the classroom and practical classes in the laboratory. Students must submit coursework at the end of the semester. EVALUATION Class attendance: 1 point. Coursework: 3 points. Final exam: 6 points.
