Summary

Students will explore Spanish culture and civilization, focusing on the Spanish transition, multicultural Spain, the golden ages and contemporary cultural movements. This class will include guest speakers and professionals from the world of art and history. In addition to classwork, students will utilize the city of Madrid, with guided visits to the Palacio Real, Prado Museumm, Reina Sofia Museum, and a day trip to El Escorial.
