OBJECTIVES To teach students the concept of specialization in the press. To demonstrate the most common specialties in the field of communication and the advantages of specialization, in particular techniques of reporting from a specialized base, language, use of sources and other concepts that differentiate general journalism from specialized journalism. COURSE DESCRIPTION The course will start from the concept of specialization in the press as a way of improving the quality of information. Each of the different areas of specialization will be studied in detail separately, in particular writing techniques, language, use of sources, understanding the message, and objectives of specialization. Written exercises in the fields of specialization that each student chooses in order to have a high level of specialization at the end of the course and an exhaustive knowledge of the subject matter they are dealing with. METHODOLOGY Both theory and practice combined. EVALUATION Continuous and final evaluation.
