Madrid, Spain - Academic Program - Language and Electives (LE)View course descriptions for the Language and Electives (LE) track. Abroadco offers the Language and Electives track in academic year, semester, and summer options at the Francisco de Vitoria University. Students choosing to study for a semester or academic year take part in a specialized program that combines a four-week intensive language and culture program followed by a semester’s study in regular university classes. Although these classes are taught primarily in Spanish, every year the University offers more courses taught in English. The four-week intensive language and culture program provides 80 semester contact hours, worth 4-6 semester credits, of Spanish language and culture. Following the four-week intensive program, students will choose four courses (45-60 contact hours for each course) from regular university courses. Students can also choose to take an intermediate or advanced Spanish language course (3 semester credits) to complement their regular courses.
