Dr. Martin Kumpf: Close relationships
Content:
In this course, you will learn about the social psychology of intimate relationships. We will primarily be concerned with the dynamics of couple relationships, from the evolutionary bases of attraction to the consequences of partner loss.
Besides couple relationships, there are other forms of close relationships (e.g., parent-child relationships, sibling relationships, friendships). These will not be discussed in detail. Also, couple interventions and couple therapy are beyond the scope of this seminar.
Participants will be in charge of at least one thematic presentation.
Presentations and discussions will be in English.
