Ten years after the Dayton Peace Accords have put an end to the genocidal civil war, the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina remains volatile: ethnic conflict, economic deprivation, and an uncertain political future dominate the post-conflict landscape. Yet some political progress has also been achieved as the introduction of democratic reforms and the increasing engagement of domestic civil society actors indicate.
