Full Description

Content:

Geomorphology as a science explains the forms, dynamics, genesis and dating of (parts of) the earth’s surface. It focuses on the evolution of the surface topography in space and time. This is closely connected with the knowledge about the fluvial, glacial, eolian and marine forming processes. Examples will be given for the structural and sculptural landforms. Since the relief is the basis of many ecosystems, it plays a major role when dealing with modern environmental aspects.

Concept:

Discussion about some basic papers, oral and written presentation of a specific topic, final written exam

Requirements:

Presentation of a paper and written examination
