Full Description

After the Second World War ended, an integration movement began in Europe that was and remains unique in history. It led from the establishment of the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) by six Western European states through the foundation of the European Economic Community (EEC) and the European Community (EC) to the creation of the European Union (EU) with its 25 member states from Western an Eastern Europe. Today the EU is one of the dominent factors of the - so called - globalizing world. The focus of the seminar will be on Germany (and its first partner France) and their role within that globalization process.
