About Maynooth: Maynooth is a picturesque 18th century Irish town located in County Kildare. The location offers you the perfect combination of the old Irish country town and the bustling city of Dublin only 15 miles west. As you meander the main street of Maynooth, you’ll find the castle at one end, dating back to the early 13th century, and the Carton House at the other end, with a history spanning over eight centuries. Just beyond Maynooth lays Newgrange, which dates back before the pyramids of Egypt. The charm of Maynooth will captivate you as you mingle with the locals and learn about Irish customs.
About National University of Ireland - Maynooth: The National University of Ireland, Maynooth was officially established under the Universities Act in 1997. The University began well before that, approximately two centuries ago. The University currently has 26 academic departments, divided into three faculties: Arts, Celtic Studies and Philosophy; Science and Engineering; Social Sciences. International students will be taking regular university courses offered to Irish students and will receive a transcript from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.
Eligibility
- Be at least 18 years of age by program start date.
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
- Have a minimum of one academic year of college or university (two semesters).
