Lake ComoSpend a day touring Lake Como and the beautiful villas that surround it. The snow-capped mountains surrounding the lake contrast with the exotic plants close to shore. After a cruise around the lake, stop at a local pizzeria for lunch. Como is also famous for its silk warehouses, so if you are fashion-minded, make sure to visit a few! Genoa and PortofinoYou will definitely have to try the pesto in Genoa! The largest city along the Ligurian coast, it was once the city of explorers, and is famed for its seafood and its pesto sauce. Later take a bus over to Portofino, a picturesque town along the coast. Wander through the designer shops to the port and then up the hilly terrain to the nature preserve for a great view of the town and sea. |
