Full DescriptionThis course will present an anthropological approach to the study of cities, providing students with the theoretical and methodological tools to think critically about the meaning of urban life today. Though we will approach this topic from a cross-cultural perspective, a number of readings will focus on Paris in particular and students will undertake a Paris-based qualitative research project during the course of the semester.
