Full Description

Introduces the operations of contemporary television. Studies television genres and networks, their characteristics, and their place in the industry. Studies the use of television genres to structure audience habits and expectations. Examines the practical application of these in the development of schedules and competitive programming between networks, as well as the implications of satellite and cable television for this process.
