Full Description

Examines France's historical and social development development since 1715. Focuses on social, political, economic, educational, and cultural factors as helping to shape the French identity. Historical topics covered include Napoleon Bonaparte, the French Revolution, the Second Empire, and the Third Empire as founded by Charles de Gaulle. Artistic topics will cover 18th century and contemporary art.
