Full Description

Examines the roles of economics and society in France during the 19th and 20th centuries. Students study the aftermath of the French Revolution as well as the First and Second Empires, and the Republics. During the study of 20th century history, the course focuses on the First and Second World Wars, and the evolution of politics and philosophy as a consequence of the 1968 protests.
