Full Description

This course is specially designed for students who wish to take the fullest advantage of their stay in France to gain first-hand knowledge of France?s rich cultural heritage. It includes a general introduction and an historical overview of the development of the culture of France within its geographic, artistic, intellectual, and socio-economic context. On-site lectures in museums and monuments in and around Paris will be an integral part of the study of French cultural history from the late Middle Ages to the death of Louis XIV. Students will be responsible for some museum entrance fees.
