Students share apartments with other program participants. All apartments are located in central Paris and are a short metro ride from the University. They are furnished with a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms and communal living space. Whenever possible, Abroadco tries to honor students' housing requests regarding roommates and accommodating special needs.

Students cook for themselves in their apartments or eat at the many bistros, cafes, or restaurants around Paris. Many students choose to return home to cook meals together; it is an enjoyable way to get to know each other, talk about the experience, and meet new people.

Residence Hall

Residence halls allow you a chance to experience French student life. You will stay in a residence hall with other university students. You will have a fully furnished single room and will receive cleaning service.

There is no meal plan in the residence hall. Many students take advantage of the kitchen facilities that are generally located on each floor, cooking together and getting to know each other.

Homestay

Living with a host family is the best way to fully immerse yourself into the French culture and language. By living, eating, and socializing with your host family, you will dramatically improve your language skills and learn much about the French culture to complement your classroom studies. You also will receive daily breakfast and dinner twice weekly, as well as a fully-furnished room, and laundry service.

Students are generally placed in a double room with a roommate from the Abroadco program. Subject to availability, students may request a single room, at a supplemental fee.

Meals

In addition to meals taken in your housing, you may also take advantage of France's excellent university restaurant system (Resto-U). The cafeterias are located throughout the city and near student housing, and offer complete meals for under $4.
