Enrichment Activities

We want you to get the most out of your stay in Paris. All students will have a complete program of enrichment activities with Abroadco! You will explore the famous, and the hidden, treasures in Paris. Museums and gardens, monuments and winding alleys, cathedrals and open-air markets, all offer you a taste of Paris.

Abroadco’s enrichment activities are highlighted by three musical events organized in conjuction with AUP’s Music Appreciation course, “French Music, Style, and Influence”.

23rd Annual Chopin Festival

July (TBD) - evening
A host of established pianists will play as the sun sets on the prestigious Orangerie at the Bagatelle Floral Gardens at the entrace of the Bois de Boulogne. Chopin’s music takes on a special quality as it blends with the romantic surroundings.

Concert at the Sainte-Chapelle

July (TBD) - evening
Of great importance in architectural history, the Sainte-Chapelle, famed for its jewel-like stained glass windows, is the venue for a magical, candle-lit evening concert of classical music. Afterwards, students can stroll from the Ile de la Cité over to St Michel and the Latin Quarter. Concert specifics will be announced closer to the date.

Recital Notre Dame de Paris

July (TBD) - afternoon
The organ at Notre Dame Cathedral is world renowned. You will be able to enjoy this recital in one of Paris’ most famous monuments. The event will also include a tour of the cathedral crypt and a visit of the towers.

Additional Activities

Additional Abroadco enrichment activities include:

  • Welcome and farewell dinners at a typically French restaurant.
  • Seine boat tour—explore Paris from the water.
  • Eiffel Tower—view Paris from high above the city.
  • Weekly walking tour of Paris, exploring historic areas of the city.
  • Celebrate Bastille Day in Paris with Abroadco! Abroadco staff will organize outings to the many events taking place during this important French holiday.
  • Whether you prefer traditional or modern art, you will have the opportunity to learn more through visits to the Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Musée Rodin, and Musée Picasso.
