General Information
About Rome: Italy’s capital, Rome has held a prominent place in world history for almost 3,000 years. The Eternal City offers visitors and residents magnificent ancient monuments, quaint piazzas, incredible museums and gardens, mouth-watering cuisine, with the indefinable Roman style throughout. Rome is Italy’s largest city, but with its neighborhoods it feels smaller. Discover the local hangouts in different neighborhoods, stroll through the piazzas, visit the open air markets, and make sure not to forget a trip to Vatican City to see the artwork and treasures in St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican museums. Rome is an ideal place for students who are interested in Western history and culture, and who at the same time, want to have fun. Rome’s varied entertainment options provide a never-ending source of both day and evening activities.
About the Pantheon Center: The Pantheon Center was founded in 2007 to provide quality academic programs for students of US colleges and universities. The Center is located in the heart of historic Rome, a stone's throw to the Roman Pantheon. The Pantheon Center is recognized by the Ministry of Education in Italy. Connecticut College issues the transcript for the center and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
