Study Abroad in Rome, Italy - Academic ProgramAbroadco offers academic year, semester, and summer options in Rome. All courses are taken at the Pantheon Center. Students are required to take a 4-credit Italian language course. In addition to this class, students select 3 to 4 electives, for a total of 13-16 credits. Part-time study is not permitted during the semester. Summer session students enroll in 1 to 2 courses, for a total of 3-6 credits. Enrollment in an Italian language course is not mandatory in the summer session. Electives are offered in art history, history, international business, Italian culture, literature and creative writing, political science, and studio arts. In addition, with approval students can elect to complete an independent research project for credit. During the semester, an honors course may also be offered.
