This course introduces writing and reporting techniques for the mass media. It focuses on the essential elements of writing for the print, online and broadcast media. Students are required to publish a minimum of four stories each semester for the school newspaper, The Matthew Online, or for an equivalent publication. The course also covers media criticism, ethics in media, and the formats and styles of public relations. Check website for planned emphasis.
