We want you to get the most out of your stay in Italy. Studying with Abroadco includes access to a complete program of immersion activities and excursions! Abroadco provides two full-day and two overnight excursions per semester and one full-day and one overnight for summer programs. Past Abroadco excursions have included the following destinations.

Day Trips (Total of 2 per Term)

Day trips to surrounding sites of historical interest include Tivoli, Ostia, and Castelli Romani.

Tuscany

The region of Tuscany is home to some of the most beautiful and historic cities in Italy - Rome, Siena, and San Gimignano. Additionally, the province of Chianti resides within its borders. Take a tour through the charming hillside towns, explore Florence, and sample the wines this area is known for.

Capri and Pomeii

If you've never been to the isle of Capri, you're in for a treat. The island (stress the first syllable when pronouncing the word) boasts incredible grottos, historic Roman imperial villas, and scenic walks and vistas.

Back on the mainland, you will visit the ruins of Pompeii, the city buried in volcanic ash in 79 AD. And after that visit, take a trip up to the Vesuvius’ crater and take a look in the only active volcano on mainland Europe. It’s a trip not be missed!
