Students of landscape architecture have the option of taking the specialized landscape architecture program at the Pantheon Center. Students take the following courses:
All students are provided with individual drafting tables and workspace for the duration of the program. The studio and context courses are taught by practicing architects and academics, and are designed to integrate classroom study with visits to churches, museums and monuments, and field trips to a variety of relevant destinations. The courses allow students to sketch on site and explore ideas for a team project that is the core of the advanced design studio course. Extensive Travel Both the Architecture and Landscape Architecture programs include extensive travel to various sites of interest in Rome and throughout Italy (including overnight excursions) as part of the design courses. The travel expenses for the design courses are included in the program fees. The Facilities The Institute has a number of architecture studios with the largest in Via della Gatta and Via del Pantheon. The architecture studios have been renovated in a refined contemporary style resulting in a harmonious mix of Modern and Renaissance. The studios are spacious and bright and contain architecture tables equipped with sliding rulers and lamps, as well as common work areas and ample pin-up space. The studios also include a computer lab, library, conference room and an administrative office. A network with dedicated Internet access connects a series of computers equipped with the latest design software including AutoCAD® and other applicable programs.
