Abroadco provides scholarships to help students defray the cost of studying abroad. Scholarship recipients will be required to submit postings for “Ann’s Blog” during their time abroad. Incomplete and/or late applications will not be considered.

Award Amounts

Semester Scholarship: $500 (non-renewable)
Summer Scholarship: $250

Eligibility

Submit scholarship application with a 500 - 600 word essay.
Be admitted to an Abroadco program.
Provide an official or unofficial transcript showing proof of a minimum 2.9 cumulative GPA (transcripts submitted with the application can be used to fulfill this requirement).
Be enrolled as a full-time university/college student.

Essay Question

Please describe how you expect your study abroad experience to contribute to your personal, career, and academic goals.

Deadlines

Fall: May 1
Spring: November 1
Summer: April 1

Selection Process

A selection committee will review the essays of all eligible students. Recipients will be notified approximately 5 weeks after the scholarship application deadline.

Responsibilities and Conditions

Scholarship recipients are required to submit entries for “Ann’s Blog” on the Abroadco Guidelines for entries will be provided to students with their award notification. Failure to submit the required entries will result in the revocation of the award.

Recipients will be required to submit the following number of entries:

Semester: 4 entries
Summer: 2 entries
