During the Language and Culture semester program, this course is offered in both English and Spanish. During the summer Intensive Spanish Language and Culture program, it is only offered in Spanish. This course aims to provide the students with general knowledge of Spain through the study of natural environment, population, economic activities and regional reality. Syllabus 1. Assessment Class attendance and participation will be taken into account in the assessment. The final exam will consist of a written test on one of two given topics. If the students wish they may do an extra piece of work on a specific subject from the syllabus which will go towards the final mark, but this is entirely voluntary. Other material At the teacher’s discretion and depending on the development of the course and the availability of material in the video library in the Centre, students will view certain videos in class in thirty minute sessions.
Esta asignatura pretende un conocimiento general del país a través del estudio geográfico del medio natural, la población, las actividades económicas y la realidad regional.
La evaluación del alumnado tendrá en cuenta la asistencia y la participación en clase. El examen final consistirá en una prueba escrita en la que habrá que exponer un tema amplio o ensayo a elegir entre dos propuestos. La realización de algún trabajo específico sobre el temario tendrá carácter voluntario y servirá para completar adecuadamente la evaluación final.
