This course covers the regional Spanish reality, a distinctive factor which is, as stated in the Spanish Constitution of 1978, a synthesis between a very varied physical environment and a historical evolution differentiated from the time of the Roman heritage. The geographical study of the different Spanish autonomous regions is carried out by means of analysis of the physical environment, the evolution and structure of its population, the evolution and structure of different economic activities and the regional variety, all of which after a brief study of the general aspects of the Spanish geography which will serve as a framework for the regional factor Syllabus 1. Introduction to the general geography of Spain (physical environment, population, infrastructures, economic activities, etc. 2. The regional division of Spain. Historical background. The constitution of 1978 and the definition of the autonomous model. The historical communities and the rest of the regions. 3. Atlantic Spain: Galicia. Principality of Asturias. Cantabria. The Basque Country. 4. The Ebro Valley: Jurisdiction Community of Navarra. The Rioja Region. The Community of Aragon. 5. Mediterranean Spain: Catalunya. The Valencian Community. The Murcia Region. 6. The Meseta (1): The Community of Castilla-Leon. 7. The Meseta (2): The Community of Castilla-La Mancha. Extremadura. The Community of Madrid. 8. Insular Spain: The Balearic Islands. The Community of the Canary Islands. 9. The Autonomous Community of Andalucia: The physical environment. The inhabitants and the population: their evolution and structure. 10. Assessment Depending on the development of the classes, the teacher will set exams and assessment in accordance with the progress of the students. Class participation and optional work will be very much taken into account. At least one mid-term exam and another final exam will be set. This subject covers the Spanish regional reality, a differential fact that, recognized in the Constitution of 1978, is a synthesis between a varied physical average and a differentiated historical evolution of Roman inheritance.
The geographic study of the different Spanish autonomic regions is made by means of the analysis of the physical average, the evolution and structures of its population, the evolution and structures of the different economic activities and the local variety, all after a brief treatment of general aspects of Spanish geography that serve to frame the regional reality.
The evaluation of the pupils will consider the attention and participation in class, with a valuation of up to 30%. There will be a mid-term exam and a final exam. This one will consist of a written test which will be to expose an ample subject to be selected between two offered, with a valuation of up to 70%. The completion of specific work on the syllabus will have a voluntary character and can be valued up to 20%, supposing in this case the final exam is worth up to 50% of the final grade.

Esta asignatura hace un recorrido por la realidad regional española, hecho diferencial que, recogido en la Constitución de 1978, es una síntesis entre un medio físico muy variado y une evolución histórica diferenciada a partir de la herencia romana.
El estudio geográfico de las diferentes regiones autonómicas españolas se realiza mediante el análisis del medio físico, la evolución y estructura de su población, la evolución y estructura de las diferentes actividades económicas y la variedad comarcal, todo ello tras un breve tratamiento de espactos generals de la geografía española que sirven para enmarcar el hecho regional.
La evaluación del alumnado tendrá en cuenta la atención y la participation en clase, con una valoración de hasta un 30%. Se realizará un examen parcial y otro final. Éste consistirá en una prueba escrita en la que habrá que exponer un tema amplio a elegir entre dos propuestos, con una valoración de hasta un 70%. La realización de algún trabajo específico sobre el temario tendrá carácter voluntario y podrá valorarse hasta un 20%, suponiendo en este caso el examen final hasta un 50% del total de la evaluación.
De forma descrecional, en función de la marcha del programa y del material disponible, se proyectarán vídeos adecuados en sesiones de treinta minutos.
