Students will learn the biological bases of behavior, emotion, and thought. Specific topics include the anatomy and function of the central and peripheral nervous systems, neuronal processes, neurotransmitters, sensory processes, hormones and sexual behavior, memory and motivation, and drugs and behavior. Significant attention is also paid to the brain processes that correlate with mental disorders.
