Extends the theory of the firm to the US and European manufacturing sectors. Examines the industrial structure of the US and European economies from an institutional, statistical, and theoretical perspective. Prepares students for analyzing the nature of competition in an industry, as well as the welfare considerations, and policy operations that are relevant in industries characterized by monopoly power.

Extends the theory of the firm to the US and European manufacturing sectors.
