Full Description

The object of this course is to better understand and better produce the French language through the study of the significant sounds of the French language:
Vowels
Consonants
Semi-Consonant

How the sounds come together:
The liaison
Inflections
Rhythmic groups and intonations

The Intermediate class will expand upon what is taught in the beginner course with regards to discriminating between the different sounds of the French language. There will be more emphasis on production (making short sentences using the sounds and words studied). Students will also begin transcribing into the phonetic alphabet.
