Examines French literature in which Paris as a literary setting is important, works in which the people, the history, and the streets of Paris play an important role. Readings include: Le Père Goriot, Les Fleurs du Mal, Les Misérables, A l'Ombre des Jeunes Filles en Fleur, Paroles, Les Mots, and l'Ecume des Jours. Taught in French.
