Full Description

This course analyzes the major economic and social problems of contemporary France, underlining their significance and manifestation in geography. Three different angles of approach will be used:
  • A study of the population, explaining demographic structures, the socio-economic characteristics and geographic distributions
  • A study of economic activities, appreciated through the frame of the European Economic Community and of the global economic system, reproduced in sectors and in their real context
  • A study of the organization of spaces, in their lasting concept and their recent transformations
