Abroadco offers the summer Intensive Language track that is taught entirely at the University of Paris-Sorbonne. After arriving in Paris, students take a placement exam to determine their language level. Students are assigned to either the Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced I, or Advanced II level.

All students enroll in the Cours Pratique French language program. Students will study grammar, reading, and writing comprehension. Along with this, students also enroll in a language lab and phonetics. These courses form a module, and each class must be completed in order for a final grade to be issued.

Summer Terms

Summer students take the Cours Pratique and Phonetics courses for a total of 25 hours/week.

• 4-Week terms meet for a total of 100 contact hours, which generally transfers to 6-7 credits in the US semester system.
• 6-Week terms meet for a total of 150 contact hours, which generally transfers to 10 credits in the US semester system.
• 8-Week terms meet for a total of 200 contact hours, which generally transfers to 13 credits in the US semester system.
